PDF to Word
Turn a PDF into a Word file you can edit, with its paragraphs, tables, pictures and Hindi, made on your computer.
What you can do
- Paragraphs that flow when you type, with their alignment, indents, numbering, bold, italic and underline.
- Ruled tables become Word tables; logos, stamps and pasted signatures stay where they were.
- Scanned pages come out as the text NightOwl read from them, in Hindi and English.
- Hindi that Word and other programs stored garbled inside a PDF is read again by sight, so it comes out correct.
- Hindi typed in Kruti Dev or DevLys comes out as standard Hindi.
- Each PDF page starts a new page in Word, so cited page numbers stay right.
How to do it
- Open PDF to Word and choose a PDF.
- Make any edits you want first: redactions and corrections carry into the Word file.
- Press PDF to Word in All tools, then Download the .docx.
Good to know
- It runs in your browser: the file is not uploaded to NightOwl or anyone else.
- The Word file is rebuilt to be edited, so check the layout: complex layouts, columns and tables on scanned pages may need tidying.
- Redacted text is not in the Word file: it is made from your edited document, never from the original.
Questions
Does it work on scanned court bundles?
Yes. NightOwl reads each scanned page first, in Hindi and English, and the Word file holds that text.
