Word to PDF
Turn Word, Excel and PowerPoint files into PDFs without uploading them. Hindi typed in Kruti Dev comes out as standard Hindi.
What you can do
- Word (.docx, .doc, .odt, .rtf), Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt) files.
- Tables, headers and footers, page numbers, footnotes and pictures are kept.
- Hindi typed in Kruti Dev or DevLys is turned into standard Hindi, so it shows on any computer and can be searched.
- Open the PDF straight in NightOwl to sign, number, merge or compress it.
How to do it
- Open Word to PDF.
- Choose or drop your files.
- Download each PDF, or open it in NightOwl.
Good to know
- It runs in your browser: the file is not uploaded to NightOwl or anyone else. The converter (LibreOffice, about 77 MB) downloads the first time and is kept by your browser.
- It needs a computer with about 2 GB of free memory; phones may not manage it.
- Fonts Microsoft does not let others share (Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial) are drawn with free fonts of the same width, so lines and pages break in the same places.
Questions
Will my Kruti Dev document look the same?
The Hindi is set in a standard Hindi font instead of Kruti Dev, so the words are the same and can be searched, but the letter shapes differ slightly.
